Volkswagen India has unveiled its most advanced and performance-focused SUVW yet — the all-new Tiguan R-Line, launched at an introductory price of ₹48.99 lakh (ex-showroom). As the flagship SUV in the German automaker’s India portfolio, the third-generation Tiguan R-Line is engineered to offer a comprehensive package that goes “Beyond betteR” in design, performance, technology, comfort, and safety.

Building upon Volkswagen’s dynamic R-Line DNA, the new Tiguan R-Line introduces a sharper, more aerodynamic design. The front profile features LED Plus headlights integrated into a sleek glass-covered strip, while the rear receives a new horizontal LED lighting signature. The vehicle rides on distinctive 19-inch “Coventry” alloy wheels with diamond-turned surfaces and includes R-specific detailing such as illuminated R-logo inserts on the dashboard, ambient lighting with 30 colours, brushed stainless steel pedals, and a panoramic sunroof.

Performance

Under the hood, the Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI EVO petrol engine producing 204 PS (201.2 bhp) and 320 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal traction across terrains, while Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Pro) and Vehicle Dynamics Manager (XDS) enhance driving dynamics and cabin comfort.

Advanced safety with 21 ADAS features

Safety takes center stage with 21 Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Front Cross Traffic Assist, Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Park Assist Plus, and more. The SUVW also includes 9 airbags as standard, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and earns a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Comfort and Tech

The Tiguan R-Line comes equipped with a class-leading 38.1 cm infotainment system, a new multi-function driving experience dial with an integrated TFT LCD, and a 26.04 cm Digital Cockpit with customisable profiles. The head-up display, Wireless App-Connect (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), inductive charging for two smartphones, and IDA voice assistant further elevate the in-cabin tech experience.

Segment-leading features like ‘ErgoActive’ front seats with massage function and lumbar support, 3-zone Air-Care Climatronic AC, and illuminated door handles create a plush and comfortable driving environment. The vehicle also boasts an immersive 8-speaker sound system and ambient lighting to match the mood.

Colours

The all-new Tiguan R-Line is available in six exclusive shades: Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Pearl, and Oyster Silver Metallic. Deliveries are set to begin from April 23, 2025, across Volkswagen dealerships nationwide.

Volkswagen India is also offering its signature 4EVER Care package with the Tiguan R-Line, which includes a four-year standard warranty, four-year roadside assistance, and three complimentary services.
