Tata Motors, India’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer and SUV market leader, has announced a landmark move to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption by introducing a Lifetime High Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty for its Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh models.

The initiative, first rolled out with the recently launched Harrier.ev, received overwhelming consumer response. Encouraged by this success, Tata Motors has extended the benefit to both existing and new first-time customers of its popular electric SUVs.

Speaking on the announcement, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said,“By democratizing premium EV technology, Tata Motors has played a key role in driving India’s electric mobility revolution. With the introduction of the Lifetime HV Battery Warranty, we are further empowering customers with a worry-free, future-ready ownership experience.”

The warranty, which covers unlimited kilometers, addresses one of the biggest concerns in EV ownership — long-term battery health and replacement costs. It applies to all private individual customers, including new buyers and current first owners of the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

Tata Motors highlighted that this initiative will also enhance resale value and contribute to significant running cost savings, estimated at ₹8–9 lakh over a 10-year period.

In addition, as part of a loyalty program, existing TATA.ev customers will receive a ₹50,000 benefit on purchasing the Curvv.ev or Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

By extending one of the industry’s most comprehensive warranties, Tata Motors continues to strengthen consumer confidence and reaffirm its leadership in India’s electric mobility space.
