The legendary Kinetic brand has made a powerful comeback to India’s two-wheeler market with the launch of the all-new Kinetic DX EV, an electric reincarnation of the beloved scooter that once ruled Indian roads. Revived by Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd. (KWV) the dedicated EV arm of Kinetic Engineering Ltd. (KEL) the DX blends nostalgia with next-generation electric mobility.

The Kinetic DX EV range, priced from ₹1,11,499 (ex-showroom, Pune), will be available in two variants DX and DX+. Customers can now book the scooter for just ₹1,000 at www.kineticev.in, with deliveries starting from September 2025. However, bookings are capped at 35,000 units, keeping exclusivity intact.

Blending Heritage with Innovation :- Retaining its strong metal body and roomy design, the new DX stays true to its legacy while embracing the future. Co-created with Italian designers, it captures the original DNA of the scooter, making it ideal for families who value both style and practicality.

It features segment-first innovations such as :-

• Easy Key: A completely keyless start system.

• Easy Charge (DX+ only): A patented retractable charging cable for convenient on-the-go charging.
• Easy Flip: A one-touch pillion footrest deployment feature.

The DX also offers 37 litres of under-seat storage, large enough to fit one full-face and one half helmet the biggest in its segment.

Power, Range and Safety :- At its core lies a 2.6 kWh LFP battery made by Range-X, boasting up to 3,500+ life cycles nearly four times that of typical NMC batteries. The DX+ variant promises an impressive 116 km IDC range thanks to Kinetic’s K-Coast regenerative technology and an efficient 60V system.

Performance is equally exciting, with a peppy motor capable of hitting 90 km/h and offering three ride modes: Range, Power, and Turbo.

Safety and comfort haven’t been compromised the scooter comes with front telescopic and adjustable rear shock absorbers, reverse and hill-hold assist, and a combination of 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brakes with combi-braking.

Smart Tech and Connected Features :- The DX EV range is equipped with a dedicated mobile app, while the DX+ variant steps up with Telekinetic features such as :-

• Real-time ride stats and vehicle data

• Geo-fencing and Intruder alert

• Find My Kinetic and Track My Kinetic functions

Adding a personal touch, the scooter comes with ‘My Kiney Companion’ voice alerts, which greet users, provide safety notifications, and even wish them on their birthdays. Riders can also enjoy music and voice navigation through a built-in speaker, all controlled via a Bluetooth-enabled Kinetic Assist switch on the handlebar.

A Vision for the Future :- Kinetic Watts and Volts has already been capitalized with ₹72 crore from KEL and promoters, with an additional ₹177 crore investment pledged to scale the DX platform.

The company’s 87,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility ensures scalable, eco-friendly production. With automation and advanced quality systems, KWV aims to set new benchmarks for safe, high-performance, Made-in-India EVs.
