Tata Motors Limited reported total sales of 69,131 units (domestic and international combined) in July 2025, compared to 71,996 units in July 2024, reflecting a marginal year-on-year dip.

Commercial Vehicle Segment Shows Steady Growth :-

The commercial vehicle (CV) business delivered a strong performance, with total CV sales rising by 7% YoY to 28,956 units, up from 27,042 units in July 2024.

HCV Trucks: 6,735 units (↑4%)

ILMCV Trucks: 5,068 units (↑17%)

Passenger Carriers: 4,749 units (↑7%)

SCV Cargo and Pickups: 9,880 units (↓3%)

Domestic sales of medium, heavy, and intermediate commercial vehicles (MH&ICV) stood at 12,387 units, compared to 11,174 units last year. Combined domestic and international MH&ICV sales reached 13,669 units, marking growth over 11,886 units in July 2024.

Passenger Vehicle Sales Decline, But EVs Hit Record High :-

Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including electric vehicles (EVs), stood at 40,175 units, down 11% from 44,954 units in July 2024. Domestic PV sales were 39,521 units (↓12%), while international business (PV IB) sales surged 186% to 654 units.

Despite the overall decline, the company achieved a major milestone with its highest-ever monthly EV sales of 7,124 units, a 42% year-on-year growth, underscoring Tata Motors’ leadership in India’s zero-emission vehicle segment.
