Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recorded sales of 34,236 units in August 2025, reflecting steady demand across its product portfolio. The company sold 29,302 vehicles in the domestic market and exported another 4,934 units.

This performance marks an 11% rise compared to the 30,879 units sold in August last year. Cumulatively, from January to August 2025, TKM sold 2,41,696 units, up 14% from 2,12,785 units in the same period of 2024.

Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service and Used Car Business at TKM, said the company is encouraged by customers’ continued trust.“We sold 34,236 units in August 2025, maintaining our steady presence in the market and are encouraged by the continued trust customers place in our cars and services. September will be an important phase for the industry overall, and we will closely observe market trends as they unfold. At Toyota, our focus remains on innovating and introducing value-added services through the festive season, with the hope of uplifting customer sentiment and making purchase decisions easier and more joyful,” he said.Corporate Initiatives:Reinforcing its Make in India strategy, TKM renewed its Wharfage Rate Agreement with Kamarajar Port Limited to support export operations.

Product Milestones and Launches:

1. The Toyota Innova marked 20 years in India and now has a customer base of over 12 lakh.

2. The Urban Cruiser Taisor received a new Bluish Black color option, along with six airbags now standard across all variants.

3. The company introduced the Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle – Sprint Edition, adding a sportier take to its luxury hybrid sedan lineup.

Company Overview :- Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a joint venture with 89% equity from Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, and 11% from Kirloskar Systems Limited in India. The company employs more than 6,500 people and operates across a land area of about 432 acres.

With an installed production capacity of up to 3,42,000 units annually, TKM runs two manufacturing plants in Bidadi. The first plant, operational since 1999, produces models such as the Innova HyCross, InnovaCrysta, Fortuner and Legender, while the second plant, which began production in 2010, builds the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux. Other Toyota models include the Glanza, Rumion and Urban Cruiser Taisor, while premium models like the Vellfire and LC 300 are imported as fully built units.
