Bentley Motor has unveiled the Bentayga X Concept, a striking off-road focused interpretation of its flagship SUV, at the iconic FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria. Developed as part of Bentley’s new partnership with FAT International, the concept previews how far the Bentayga platform can be pushed beyond luxury into serious all-terrain capability

The Bentayga X Concept makes its public debut at the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See.

The Bentayga X Concept was created to gather feedback and explore demand for a more off-road-oriented Bentley SUV. While the standard Bentayga already blends luxury with capability, this concept focuses squarely on enhancing durability, ground clearance and stability in extreme conditions

The concept is built on the Bentayga Speed platform.

Underneath its rugged exterior, the Bentayga X Concept is based on the Bentayga Speed, powered by a 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also features Bentley Dynamic Ride, the brand’s advanced 48-volt active anti-roll system, ensuring stability even in demanding terrain

Bespoke wheels and off-road tyres transform the Bentayga’s stance.

The Bentayga X Concept rides on forged one-piece 22-inch wheels developed by specialists Brixton, wrapped in large-profile off-road tyres. Bentley has increased the track width by 120 mm and raised the ride height by 55 mm, resulting in nearly 310 mm of ground clearance and an impressive wading depth of over 550 mm

BUILT FOR LONG OFF-ROAD JOURNEYS

Roof-mounted storage and spotlights highlight its expedition-ready intent.

Practicality plays a central role in the Bentayga X Concept’s design. It features roof-mounted storage, integrated spotlights for night driving, and visible twin towing eyes at the front. A titanium sports exhaust by Akrapovič remains, reinforcing the vehicle’s performance credentials. In a playful touch, the roof rack even carries a FAT Karting League electric go-kart, showcasing additional cargo potential

Bentley strengthens its presence at one of the world’s most unique automotive festivals.

The debut of the Bentayga X Concept also marks the beginning of a multi-year partnership between Bentley and FAT International. Bentley will continue to showcase vehicles at future FAT Ice Race events, including appearances in Montana and Austria later this year, blending luxury craftsmanship with grassroots car culture

WHAT THIS CONCEPT SIGNALS FOR BENTLEY’S FUTURE

The Bentayga X Concept highlights Bentley’s willingness to explore new dimensions of luxury mobility, without compromising performance or craftsmanship. While it remains a concept for now, the response from enthusiasts could influence future production models potentially paving the way for Bentley’s most capable off-road SUV yet.
