Jeep has launched the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition in India to mark 85 years of the brand globally. Based on the higher-spec Model S (O) trim, the special edition is priced at Rs 26.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 85 units will be available in India, with bookings now open through Jeep dealerships and the Jeep India website.
JEEP COMPASS 85TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION: WHAT’S NEW?
The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition gets new ‘85’ decals on the doors, tailgate and wheel hub caps, along with gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rest of the exterior design remains unchanged, including the LED headlights, seven-slot black grille, LED fog lamps and LED tail-lights.
Inside, the special edition features an all-black cabin with Mayan Gold accents. The seats get black leatherette upholstery with gold-coloured stitching, while the same theme is carried over to the ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof illumination.
NEW FEATURES AND ACCESSORY PACK
Jeep is also offering an 85th Anniversary AXS accessory pack for the special edition. It adds illuminated elements around the panoramic sunroof, a digital inside rear-view mirror and front and rear dashcams. The standard equipment list includes powered and ventilated front seats, driver seat memory, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, dual-zone climate control and wireless phone charging.
ENGINE, GEARBOX AND PRICE
The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition uses the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as the standard Model S (O), producing 172.36 Bhp and 350Nm. It is available with a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission. The automatic version can also be specified with a four-wheel-drive system.

The 85th Anniversary Edition is priced the same as the Model S (O) trim, although Jeep has not yet announced the price of the AXS accessory pack. With limited availability of just 85 units, the special edition adds exclusive styling and equipment while retaining the Compass’s existing diesel powertrain and drivetrain options.

With its limited production run, exclusive exterior detailing and gold-themed cabin, the Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition adds a more distinctive character to the SUV without changing its core mechanical package. The familiar 172.36 Bhp diesel engine, manual and automatic gearbox options, and available four-wheel-drive system remain unchanged, while the additional styling elements and optional AXS pack give this limited-run Compass a more exclusive appeal.
