Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra lineup with the new Sierra #DARK Edition in India, with prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition brings a distinctive blacked-out exterior, a dark-themed cabin with violet and purple accents, and is available across multiple variants and powertrain combinations.

The Tata Sierra #DARK is available from the Pure L variant onwards. The Dark Edition commands a premium of Rs 20,000 on the Pure L and Rs 30,000 on most higher variants compared with their corresponding standard versions. The range extends up to Rs 21.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Accomplished+ diesel automatic.

Tata Sierra #DARK Edition: What’s New?

The biggest change is the visual treatment. The Sierra #DARK gets a new Friesian Black exterior paint, replacing the brighter colour combinations available on the regular SUV. The exterior chrome elements have been replaced with black finishes, while the Tata logos and alloy wheels also receive a darker treatment.

The SUV also gets #DARK badging on the front fenders, giving the special edition a more distinctive appearance.

Inside, Tata has continued the dark theme with a predominantly black cabin. However, the company has added violet metallic and purple highlights around areas such as the AC vents, door handles, front armrest and front seatbacks. Purple stitching further differentiates the Dark Edition from the regular Sierra.

Tata Sierra #DARK Engine and Gearbox Options

There are no mechanical changes to the Sierra #DARK. Tata Motors continues to offer the same three 1.5-litre engine options as the standard Sierra.

The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 106bhp and is available with manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options depending on the variant.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 118bhp and can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque-converter automatic.

The range-topping 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine produces 160hp and 255Nm and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Since the Dark Edition is essentially a cosmetic package based on existing Sierra variants, its equipment list depends on the selected trim.
