Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for the upcoming Hyundai BAYON, a new intelligent utility vehicle designed around technology, safety, comfort, performance and futuristic styling. The bookings have commenced across India with an initial booking amount of ₹11,000, through Hyundai’s official website and authorised dealerships.

Positioned as a tech-enabled SUV for modern Indian customers, the Hyundai BAYON introduces an in-built generative AI voice assistant. The system is designed to enable more natural and intuitive interactions between the driver and vehicle, forming a key part of Hyundai’s “Intelligence That Moves” philosophy.

Hyundai BAYON: Design and Dimensions

The BAYON features a progressive SUV design with a strong road presence. Its exterior incorporates a sculpted bonnet, futuristic front fascia and signature H-Edge LED DRLs. Geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding and bridge-type roof rails further contribute to its distinctive styling.

Measuring 4.2 metres in length, the mid-size SUV has been designed to balance exterior proportions with interior space. Hyundai says the vehicle offers intelligent space utilisation aimed at providing improved legroom, headroom and shoulder room for occupants.

Safety and Powertrain

Safety is one of the core pillars of the Hyundai BAYON. The SUV is built on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards, according to the company’s internal assessment. Hyundai says the platform focuses on occupant protection, structural rigidity and advanced safety engineering.

The BAYON will be powered by Hyundai’s proven petrol powertrain and will be offered with both a Manual Transmission (MT) and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The company says the powertrain has been engineered for refined, responsive and fuel-efficient everyday driving.

Customers can book the Hyundai BAYON online through Hyundai’s official website or at authorised Hyundai dealerships for ₹11,000. The SUV is scheduled to arrive during the festive season, while its delivery timeline will be announced at the time of launch.
