Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has achieved its highest-ever monthly total sales since inception, recording 77,916 units in September 2026, registering a 10.8% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The company’s strong performance was driven by consistent demand in the domestic market and growth in exports, reflecting continued customer interest across its portfolio.
According to the company’s press release dated October 1, 2026, Hyundai Motor India recorded domestic sales of 57,166 units in September 2026, marking a 10.9% increase compared to the same month last year. Exports stood at 20,750 units, witnessing 10.4% YoY growth. The combined domestic and export sales surpassed the company’s previous monthly record achieved in July 2026.
Hyundai Motor India Reports Strong Domestic and Export Growth
Hyundai’s September 2026 sales performance highlights growth across both domestic and international markets. Domestic sales accounted for the larger share of total volumes, supported by demand for the company’s passenger vehicle range. Meanwhile, exports continued to contribute significantly, with more than 20,000 units shipped during the month.
Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said the company was delighted to close September with its highest-ever monthly sales. He attributed the well-rounded growth across domestic and export markets to the strong appeal of Hyundai’s product portfolio and its commitment to delivering mobility solutions in India and global markets.
