Spinny, India’s leading used-car platform, delivered 1,370 cars across 24 cities on the first day of Navratri 2026, marking its highest-ever single-day delivery record. According to the company’s press release dated October 12, the milestone was achieved on October 11, with one car handed over every 41 seconds.

The deliveries were 1.7 times Spinny’s previous single-day record and 96% higher than its deliveries on the first day of Navratri last year. The busiest hour was between noon and 1 pm, when the platform delivered 112 cars. Deliveries had slowed during Shradh as families waited for the festive period to purchase vehicles.

Pune Leads City-Wise Deliveries

Pune recorded the highest number of deliveries among individual cities, with 180 cars handed over on Navratri’s first day. Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra and Karnataka collectively accounted for 62% of total deliveries, highlighting the strong contribution of these markets to Spinny’s festive performance.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno emerged as the most delivered model, accounting for approximately one in every 14 cars. It was followed by the Hyundai Grand i10, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Tiago.

Hatchbacks Remain the Preferred Choice

Hatchbacks accounted for 55% of the cars delivered, followed by SUVs at 26% and sedans at 14%. Petrol-powered vehicles represented 82% of deliveries, while diesel cars accounted for 12%. The platform also delivered 66 CNG vehicles and 10 electric vehicles.

Automatic transmissions featured in 33% of the cars delivered, rising to 40% in Bengaluru. White was the most popular colour at 28%, followed by grey at 22%, while blue, silver and red each accounted for 12%.

The data also highlighted buyer preferences and vehicle ownership patterns. Women accounted for 18% of buyers nationally, with their share reaching 29% in Bengaluru. Additionally, 77% of the delivered cars had a single previous owner, while 46% were model year 2021 or newer.

Online Bookings, Financing and Insurance

Spinny reported that 64% of customers booked their vehicles at a Spinny Hub, while 25% booked online and 11% purchased through phone bookings. Half of the buyers financed their cars, and 66% renewed their insurance through Spinny’s partners.

The festive milestone underlines the importance of seasonal purchasing occasions in India’s used-car market. For many households, Navratri remains an important time to make major purchases, including cars, making timely deliveries and accessible purchasing options particularly relevant during the festive season.
