Ultraviolette Automotive has introduced its new VX-100 electric vehicle platform and launched the X-47 Venom, the next-generation version of its X-47 crossover motorcycle. The new electric motorcycle features a 30 kW motor, a claimed 343 km IDC range, 12 kW DC fast-charging capability and advanced rider-assistance technology. The introductory price starts at ₹2.65 lakh, with deliveries scheduled to commence in November 2026.

Announced in Bengaluru on 22 October 2026, the X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on Ultraviolette’s new 100V architecture. The platform combines upgraded battery technology, a lighter electric motor and a next-generation motor control unit to improve performance, efficiency and packaging.

Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Price and Availability

The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom is available at an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers. Bookings opened on 22 October 2026 at 4 PM IST through the company’s official website, with sales also available across Ultraviolette Space Stations in India.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The company has also confirmed plans to launch the X-47 Venom in Europe at EICMA 2026 in Milan on 3 November 2026.

Performance and Range

Performance is one of the central highlights of the new electric motorcycle. The X-47 Venom uses Ultraviolette’s newly developed LIGHTFURY electric motor, delivering a peak output of 30 kW, equivalent to approximately 40 bhp, and 550 Nm of wheel torque.

The motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 155 kmph and can accelerate from 0–60 kmph in 2.7 seconds. The 0–100 kmph sprint is completed in a claimed 5.9 seconds.

The X-47 Venom offers a claimed IDC range of 343 km, making range and performance key elements of its positioning in India’s premium electric motorcycle segment.

The motorcycle also weighs 180 kg, which is up to 20 kg lighter than the previous-generation platform. Its 200 mm ground clearance is intended to support its crossover character, while cruise control adds convenience during longer highway journeys.

New VX-100 Platform and SRB-11 Battery Technology

The VX-100 is Ultraviolette’s new 100V architecture, developed to support improved energy density, thermal performance, charging capability and overall vehicle efficiency. The platform is designed to accommodate different battery capacities, vehicle configurations and power levels, potentially allowing the technology to be used across future products.

The X-47 Venom introduces SRB-11 battery technology, which incorporates a 100V battery configuration. According to the company, the battery offers up to 20% greater energy density and twice the cooling performance compared with the previous technology.

Its thermal management system is designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster, helping maintain performance during demanding riding conditions. The battery also features a cast-aluminium housing intended to provide structural strength, impact protection and reduced weight.

Another important addition is a battery management system with a pyro-fuse. Designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected, the system works alongside cell-level fuses and battery monitoring functions to enhance electrical safety.

LIGHTFURY Motor and Advanced Charging

The new LIGHTFURY motor is designed to deliver higher power density in a lighter and more compact package. It incorporates soft magnetic composites and is engineered to reduce energy losses while improving power delivery and efficiency.

The motor works alongside a next-generation motor control unit (MCU), which is designed to be twice as compact while delivering three times the power density. These developments are intended to improve packaging, reduce weight and support more responsive acceleration.

Charging is another major development. The X-47 Venom supports 12 kW external DC fast charging, a capability Ultraviolette describes as a first for an Indian electric two-wheeler. The motorcycle also comes with a 1.6 kW onboard charger.

The DC charging system includes protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive temperature and short circuits. These safeguards are designed to monitor charging conditions and protect the battery and electrical system.

Radar Intelligence and Connected Technology

The X-47 Venom features Ultraviolette’s UV Hypersense radar intelligence system, which uses a 77 GHz rear radar capable of monitoring distances of up to 200 metres. The system is engineered for two-wheeler dynamics and is designed to adapt to lean angles of up to 20 degrees.

Its functions include blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. In a potential rear-collision situation, the system can alert the rider through the UV Hypersense mirrors and activate the hazard lights.

The motorcycle also features UV INTERFACE X, a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, integrated front and rear dashcams, Park Assist with a rear-camera feed and upgraded onboard navigation integrated with Mappls.

Through its VIOLETTE A.I. connectivity package, the motorcycle offers features including movement, fall and towing alerts, remote lockdown, crash alerts, Delta Watch and an anti-collision warning system. Real-time connectivity and software updates are also part of the technology package.

B-MAX Rider Safety Vest Introduced

Alongside the motorcycle and its new platform, Ultraviolette has introduced B-MAX, a reusable safety vest designed to extend the company’s focus on protection beyond the vehicle itself.

The company states that the vest offers twice the CE safety standards and 86% force attenuation. Its design incorporates protection for the collar, back, chest, sides and hips, with features including a cervical brace, spinal shield, thorax chambers and a mechanical tether.

The B-MAX vest is designed to be reusable up to five times, according to the company.

Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: What It Means for the EV Market

With the X-47 Venom, Ultraviolette is combining a new electrical architecture with increased range, quicker acceleration, high-speed DC charging and expanded rider-assistance technology. The modular VX-100 platform also establishes a technical foundation for the company’s future electric motorcycles.

The introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh places the X-47 Venom in the premium electric motorcycle category, where performance, range, charging convenience and technology will be important considerations for buyers.

As deliveries begin in November 2026, the motorcycle will provide a clearer indication of how the company’s latest engineering developments translate into everyday riding.
