Intangles has introduced four AIS-140-certified solutions, combining vehicle tracking, predictive maintenance, fuel management and AI-powered video telematics for India’s commercial vehicle sector.

Intangles, a global predictive fleet intelligence company, has announced the launch of its AIS-140-certified product portfolio in India, aimed at expanding predictive vehicle intelligence across the country’s commercial vehicle ecosystem. The new portfolio comprises four configurations – InCert, InSight, InGenious and InVision+ – designed to address the operational requirements of fleet operators across different vehicle categories and fleet sizes.

The product range supports vehicles ranging from passenger cabs and three-wheelers to vans, light, intermediate, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, as well as buses. Compatibility varies depending on the selected configuration, allowing operators to choose solutions based on their operational requirements.

Understanding AIS-140 and Its Role in Fleet Management

AIS-140 is a Government of India standard that establishes requirements for vehicle tracking and emergency alerts. However, conventional AIS-140 tracking devices primarily provide vehicle location information and do not necessarily offer insights into engine performance, fault codes, coolant temperature or fuel analytics.

Intangles aims to address this gap by combining AIS-140 compliance with predictive intelligence. Its platform uses physics-based analytics and machine learning to interpret vehicle signals in the context of operating conditions, helping fleet operators identify potential mechanical issues before they develop into major breakdowns.

According to the company, its predictive intelligence delivers 96% predictive AI accuracy and has helped fleets reduce powertrain breakdowns by 75%.

Four AIS-140-Certified Configurations Explained

The newly introduced portfolio includes four solutions, each offering different levels of fleet intelligence and monitoring capabilities.

• InCert: Provides AIS-140-certified vehicle tracking, trip management, geofencing and driver alerts, focusing on essential fleet monitoring and compliance requirements.
• InSight: Builds on tracking capabilities with driver behaviour reports, fuel consumption insights and vehicle fault codes accompanied by repair guidance.
• InGenious: Offers predictive vehicle health monitoring, advanced fuel management, DriveIQ driver scorecards and operations automation.
• InVision+: Combines AIS-140-certified tracking with AI-powered video telematics through two cameras, one facing the road and the other monitoring the driver. It also includes in-cabin voice alerts, road warnings and video-on-demand functionality.

All four configurations operate on InRoute, Intangles’ fleet intelligence platform.

InCentral Brings Fleet Solutions Online

Alongside the product portfolio, Intangles has introduced InCentral, its direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform in India. The platform allows customers to identify suitable solutions, check vehicle compatibility, purchase products online and generate Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD) certificates.

The new portfolio is available through Intangles’ field sales channels and its InCentral platform.

Expanding Predictive Intelligence Across India’s Fleet Industry

Commenting on the launch, Anup Patil, CEO of Intangles, highlighted the importance of making predictive intelligence accessible to fleet operators regardless of their fleet size.
