Tata Motors has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST reduction on passenger vehicles directly to customers. The revised prices will come into effect from September 22, the day the new GST rates are implemented nationwide.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., called the decision “progressive and timely,” saying it would make personal transport more affordable for millions of Indians. He added that the company’s move aligns with the government’s vision and Tata Motors’ customer-first approach.

The price cuts will apply across Tata Motors’ car and SUV lineup, with reductions ranging from ₹65,000 to ₹1.55 lakh depending on the model. The Nexon will see the highest drop of up to ₹1.55 lakh, followed by the Altroz with reductions of up to ₹1.10 lakh and the Safari with cuts of up to ₹1.45 lakh. Prices for the Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Curvv and Harrier will also come down.

With the festive season around the corner, Tata Motors expects a surge in bookings and has encouraged buyers to reserve their vehicles early to ensure timely delivery.
