The Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has announced the 50 selected grantees for its ‘Art for Hope – Season 5’ program. This year’s edition strengthens the brand’s commitment to supporting artists who drive social change through creativity.
HMIF has allocated a ₹60 lakh grant, supporting :- 40 individual artists with ₹1 lakh each. 10 institutions with ₹2 lakh each.
Applications came from 30 regions across India, and the final 50 winners represent 22 culturally diverse regions, ranging from major cities to tribal and remote communities.
A Showcase of Diversity, Culture & Innovation :- Selected projects span across visual arts, digital media, performing arts, crafts, folk traditions, and interdisciplinary themes. The program emphasised artists working with grassroots communities, regional storytelling, and underrepresented voices.
Commenting on the initiative, Puneet Anand, AVP & VExpert Jury & Detailed Selection Process :- The winners were selected by an esteemed panel including :- Pandit Sajan Mishra (Padma Bhushan awardee, Hindustani classical vocalist). Aaquib Wani (experiential designer). Garima Avtar (award-winning creator – automotive & lifestyle). Nikhil Chawla (senior journalist – technology & automotive). Aditya Arya (Founding Trustee & Director, Museo Camera).
Each project was evaluated on originality, artistic merit, innovation, and social impact.
Program Support & Upcoming Public Showcase :-
Beyond financial assistance, artists will receive :- mentorship, upskilling workshops, opportunities for regional showcases.The initiative will conclude with a grand public exhibition in New Delhi in February 2026, celebrating the artists’ work and their contribution
