Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) has reached a remarkable manufacturing milestone, crossing 2 million locally produced vehicles in its 25-year journey in India. This achievement comes during one of the company’s strongest business phases, with October 2025 marking its best month in six years.
500,000 MQB-A0-IN Cars Built for India :- More than 500,000 vehicles developed on the India-focused MQB-A0-IN platform have been produced.This platform underpins popular models such as :- Skoda Kushaq, Skoda Slavia, Skoda Kylaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Volkswagen Virtus.
The last 500,000 units were produced within just 3.5 years, reflecting strong customer demand for India-made cars designed to global standards.
Strong Growth Across All Group Brands :- Skoda Auto India recorded its highest-ever 10-month sales, reaching 61,607 units, more than double year-on-year.Volkswagen India also achieved its best-ever month for the Virtus, now holding a 40% share in the premium sedan segment.
The Group’s luxury brands also delivered strong performances :- Bentley India launched new showrooms in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Porsche India expanded to 13 sales points and added 4,400+ customers in six years. Audi celebrated multiple milestones including the RS Q8 winning Performance Car of the Year at the AutoX Awards. Lamborghini India achieved its best-ever year in 2024 with 113 units sold, and launched the Temerario, completing its hybrid transition.
700,000+ Vehicles Exported Globally :- SAVWIPL has exported more than 700,000 vehicles to markets in Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East—strengthening India’s position as a global manufacturing hub under the vision:“Made in India, Driven by the World.”
State-of-the-Art Plants in Pune & Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar :- The company operates two advanced facilities :- Chakan, Pune. Shendra, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Together, they support high-volume production, deeper localisation, and multi-brand manufacturing.
