After decades, one of Ferrari’s most legendary names has made a powerful comeback. The new Ferrari 849 Testarossa represents a bold step into the future, combining electrification with extreme performance.
Built as the successor to the SF90, this hybrid supercar delivers a massive 1050 horsepower, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and race-inspired technology. With coupe and spider versions on offer, the 849 Testarossa blends heritage with innovation, proving that Ferrari is ready for the next era of supercars.

The rear design of the 849 Testarossa clearly reflects its racing DNA. Slim LED tail lamps, a massive rear diffuser, and twin high-set exhaust pipes work together to improve airflow and stability at high speeds.
Ferrari claims that the new Testarossa produces 25 percent more downforce than the SF90 at 240 km/h. This improvement comes from a redesigned underbody and enhanced diffuser system, helping the car remain planted even beyond 300 km/h.

From the side, the 849 Testarossa looks both elegant and aggressive. The low-slung body, sharp character lines, and large side air intakes create a strong visual impact.
These side vents feed massive intercoolers, improving cooling efficiency for the twin-turbo V8 engine. Ferrari engineers reportedly spent over two years perfecting these panels, underlining the brand’s focus on detail and craftsmanship.
The lightweight construction keeps the dry weight at 1,570 kg, matching the outgoing SF90 despite added hybrid components.

From above, the Testarossa reveals its advanced engineering. The glass engine cover allows a clear view of the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with three electric motors.
This setup produces:
- Petrol engine: 830BHP
- Electric motors: 220BHP
- Total output: 1050BHP
The car also features a 7.5 kWh battery, enabling up to 25 km of electric-only driving in urban conditions.
With 0–100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds and a top speed above 330 km/h, the 849 Testarossa delivers hyperca level performance.
INTERIOR & TECHNOLOGY: DRIVER-FIRST EXPERIENCE
Inside the cabin, Ferrari has returned to physical buttons on the steering wheel, responding to feedback from drivers. The cockpit has a split layout, with a halo-style design focused on the driver.
Key interior highlights include:
- Digital driver display
- Passenger information screen
- Floating drive selector console
- Premium materials and carbon-fibre accents
On the technology side, the Testarossa features Ferrari’s advanced Slip Slide Control 9.0 and the Integrated Vehicle Estimator (FIVE) system. This software creates a real-time digital model of the car, adjusting traction, braking, and stability in milliseconds.
The result is sharper handling, better feedback, and faster lap times.
PERFORMANCE & DRIVING EXPERIENCE
On Ferrari’s Fiorano test track, the 849 Testarossa recorded a lap time of 1 minute 17.5 seconds faster than the SF90 and close to limited-edition models.
Upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo provide strong stopping power, while improved gearbox software delivers quicker shifts.
For track enthusiasts, the optional Assetto Fiorano package reduces weight by 30 kg and adds performance-focused suspension and tyres.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY
In India, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa is expected to be priced around ₹11.98 crore (on-road). The coupe version will arrive first, followed by the spider in late 2026.
Given its performance and exclusivity, the Testarossa will remain a rare and highly sought-after supercar.
