Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has strengthened its commitment to STEM education in underserved communities by hosting the second edition of InnoFest under its flagship education-led initiative, Vidya Vahini.

Held at the National Science Centre, New Delhi, between February 9-10, 2026, InnoFest 2026 brought together young innovators from government schools across 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The national-level science fair showcased 45 student-built science models, each designed to address real-world challenges through creativity, curiosity and scientific thinking.

HMIF said Vidya Vahini has now reached 364 government schools across 26 districts, benefiting nearly 50,000 students to date. The program is designed to democratise access to experiential learning and advanced STEM resources, particularly in rural classrooms that often lack modern science infrastructure.

A key highlight of Vidya Vahini is its innovative delivery model. Using Mobile Science Labs, Lab on Bike, and Science Libraries, the initiative brings hands-on learning directly to schools, making science education immersive, practical and cost-effective.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication and Social, Hyundai Motor India, said InnoFest 2026 provided young innovators with a national platform to showcase prototypes and solutions. He added that the program aligns with Hyundai’s global vision of “Progress for Humanity” and has a clear goal of enabling equitable STEM access while nurturing future-ready skills for Bharat.

The event also reflected the platform’s growing scale and impact, drawing over 1,200 visitors and signalling strong year-on-year expansion potential.

Vidya Vahini is currently active across 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh and 4 in Haryana, including Gurugram, Jind, Hisar, and Fatehabad. Through continued support for students, teachers and schools, HMIF aims to ensure every child, regardless of economic background or pin code, can imagine, build and solve for tomorrow.
