Ferrari has officially introduced the 849 Testarossa in the Indian market, marking the arrival of the brand’s newest flagship series-production supercar. The model replaces the SF90 Stradale and positions itself as Ferrari’s most powerful production model currently available in the lineup.

Priced from ₹10.37 crore (ex-showroom, India) excluding optional packages, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa enters the ultra-luxury performance segment where it rivals high performance hybrid supercars such as the Lamborghini Revuelto. Deliveries for the Indian market are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.

HIGH PERFORMANCE HYBRID POWERTRAIN

At the heart of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa lies an advanced plug in hybrid powertrain combining a 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors. Two of the electric motors are positioned on the front axle, while the third motor is mounted between the engine and the transmission.

The combustion engine alone generates 830 bhp, while the combined system output reaches an impressive 1,050 bhp, making the 849 Testarossa Ferrari’s most powerful production model to date.

Power is delivered to all four wheels through an eight speed automatic transmission, enabling breathtaking acceleration figures. Ferrari claims the supercar can sprint from 0 100 kmph in just 2.25 seconds, while the 0-200 kmph run takes approximately 6.3 seconds. The top speed is rated at 330 kmph.

Supporting the hybrid system is a 7.45kWh battery pack, allowing the car to operate in pure electric mode for up to 25 km, offering silent city driving when required.

ICONIC DESIGN INSPIRED BY FERRARI HERITAGE

The design of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa blends modern aerodynamics with subtle references to the brand’s heritage. The front fascia features distinctive L-shaped LED headlights connected by a sleek black strip, echoing classic Ferrari styling cues.

From the side, the car displays a contrast black roof and A-pillars, paired with large sporty alloy wheels that enhance its aggressive stance.

At the rear, the supercar features a twin tail design along with an active aerodynamic panel capable of generating up to 100kg of additional downforce. The rear design is further highlighted by high-mounted dual exhaust outlets, reinforcing the car’s performance-focused character.

DRIVER FOCUSED INTERIOR AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

Inside the cabin, Ferrari continues its driver centric philosophy with a futuristic cockpit layout. The car features a large 16 inch digital driver display, which integrates infotainment functions alongside driving information.

Connectivity options include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless smartphone integration. Ferrari has also reintroduced physical control knobs on the steering wheel, replacing the earlier touch based controls to enhance usability during high-performance driving.

The interior also includes a high mounted centre console housing the gear selector, a 7-speaker audio system, and a 9-inch passenger display that allows the co driver to view performance and navigation information.

Customers will also be able to extensively personalise the car through Ferrari’s bespoke options program, allowing unique exterior colours, interior materials, and performance upgrades.

With its cutting-edge hybrid technology, iconic design cues, and breathtaking performance figures, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa represents a new benchmark in Ferrari’s flagship supercar lineup for the Indian market.
