Kia India has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the Model Year 2026 (MY26) Kia Carens Clavis EV, introducing new GT-Line and X-Line trims along with a 6-seater configuration featuring second-row captain seats. The update enhances comfort, styling, and practicality, making the electric MPV more appealing to Indian families and EV buyers.
The newly introduced 6-seater layout provides improved passenger comfort with captain seats in the second row, delivering better personal space and a premium chauffeur-driven experience. Customers who require more seating capacity can still opt for the 7-seater version, which continues to be offered across select variants.
To add more character to the lineup, Kia has introduced GT-Line trims (GTX and GTX+) for the extended-range version. These variants feature sportier styling elements including new alloy wheels, lime-coloured brake calipers and metal pedals, giving the electric MPV a performance-inspired appearance.
Meanwhile, the X-Line variant adopts a rugged design approach with darker styling elements and an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior colour, complemented by Aurora Black Pearl accents.
Under the hood, the Carens Clavis EV is offered with two battery options. The 51.4 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-certified range of 490 km, while the 42 kWh battery provides a range of 404 km. Both versions support fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes, making the EV suitable for both daily city commutes and long-distance travel.
Powering the vehicle are 99 kW and 126 kW electric motors producing 255 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth acceleration and strong performance. The cabin features a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display, over 85 connected car features, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, offering a premium in-cabin experience.
Safety remains a key highlight with 18 advanced safety features including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC).
Kia also supports the vehicle through its EV ecosystem, including the K-Charge platform, which offers access to over 15,000 charging points across India, route planning, and charger availability through the MyKia app.
With new trims, flexible seating options, and advanced features, the MY26 Kia Carens Clavis EV strengthens Kia’s presence in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle market.
