Hyundai has achieved a major milestone in vehicle safety, with the Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line securing a five-star rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) crash tests. The results apply to all variants of both models sold in India, reinforcing Hyundai’s commitment to safety across its lineup.

The crash test results come shortly after similar evaluations of competing models, highlighting the growing focus on safety standards in the compact SUV segment.

STRONG PERFORMANCE IN ADULT AND CHILD SAFETY

The Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line performed exceptionally well in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). The models scored 31.15 out of 32 points in AOP and 44.46 out of 49 points in COP, placing them among the safest vehicles in their category.

These results underline Hyundai’s emphasis on structural integrity and passenger protection, ensuring high levels of safety for both front and rear occupants.

TESTED VARIANTS AND APPLICABILITY

The crash tests were conducted on specific variants, including the HX2 Diesel Manual and HX10 Diesel Automatic versions. However, the five-star rating extends across the entire Venue and Venue N Line range available in India.

This ensures that buyers across different variants can benefit from the same high safety standards without compromise.

COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY FEATURES

The Hyundai Venue lineup is equipped with a wide range of safety features designed to enhance occupant protection and driving confidence. These include six airbags, seat belt pre tensioners with load limiters, and advanced braking systems such as ABS with EBD.

Additional features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control (HAC), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) further contribute to overall safety.

The SUV also includes convenience driven safety technologies like reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders, speed alert systems, impact sensing auto door unlock, and speed sensing auto door lock.

RISING SAFETY STANDARDS IN INDIA

The strong performance of the Venue and Venue N Line reflects a broader trend of improving safety standards in the Indian automotive market. With BNCAP ratings becoming increasingly important for buyers, manufacturers are focusing more on crash safety and advanced protection systems.

Hyundai’s latest achievement positions the Venue as one of the safest options in the sub four metre SUV segment, offering a compelling combination of safety, features, and practicality.
