Porsche has once again pushed the boundaries of electric performance with the new Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Manthey Kit. The high performance electric sports sedan has officially set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for electric executive cars, clocking an astonishing time of 6:55.533 minutes.
The record breaking lap was completed by Porsche development driver Lars Kern behind the wheel of the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package and the newly introduced Manthey Kit. The achievement highlights Porsche’s continued dominance in high-performance EV engineering while showcasing the potential of track focused electric vehicles.
TRACK FOCUSED PERFORMANCE TAKEN TO THE NEXT LEVEL
The Manthey Kit has been specially developed to enhance the Taycan Turbo GT’s circuit performance. Already known for creating race inspired upgrade kits for Porsche GT models, Manthey has now entered the EV segment for the first time with this advanced package.

According to Porsche, the Manthey Kit significantly improves aerodynamics, suspension tuning, braking performance, and drivetrain efficiency. The result is a sharper, more aggressive Taycan capable of handling extreme track conditions while maintaining stability at high speeds.
The aerodynamic package alone increases total downforce from 95 kg to an impressive 310 kg at 200 kmph. At top speed, the car can generate nearly 740 kg of downforce, improving cornering grip and overall driving confidence on demanding circuits like the Nürburgring.
POWER AND ENHANCED ATTACK MODE
Porsche has also upgraded the powertrain for the Manthey-equipped Taycan Turbo GT. The system output has been increased to 600 kW, which is 20 kW more than the standard model. Additionally, Porsche’s Attack Mode now delivers an extra boost of up to 130 kW for short bursts of maximum performance.

With these upgrades, the electric performance sedan becomes even more capable on the racetrack. Porsche development driver Lars Kern stated that the car offers noticeably more stability during fast corners and braking sections, helping him beat the previous record by over nine seconds.
LIGHTWEIGHT COMPONENTS AND TRACK ENGINEERING
The Manthey Kit also introduces lightweight forged 21-inch wheels paired with specially developed Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS track tyres. Porsche claims the new setup improves agility, steering precision, and braking performance significantly.

Visually, the Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit receives multiple exposed carbon fibre aerodynamic components, including an enlarged rear wing, extended diffusers, wider side skirts, and aerodynamic wheel elements that further emphasise its motorsport-inspired character.
The Manthey Kit will be available as a retrofit package for all Taycan Turbo GT models equipped with the Weissach Package starting June 2026.
PORSCHE CONTINUES TO DOMINATE PERFORMANCE EVS

This latest Nürburgring achievement proves that Porsche is serious about combining electric mobility with hardcore motorsport engineering. With cutting-edge aerodynamics, enhanced power delivery, and track-focused upgrades, the Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit sets a new benchmark for electric performance cars worldwide.
