Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda has officially launched the all-new Honda NX500 E-Clutch in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹7.44 lakh. The latest addition to Honda’s premium adventure touring lineup introduces the brand’s innovative E-Clutch technology, making the middleweight ADV segment more advanced and rider-friendly than ever before.

The biggest highlight of the new NX500 is Honda’s futuristic E-Clutch system, designed to offer a smoother and more effortless riding experience. With this technology, riders can shift gears without manually operating the clutch lever, especially during stop-and-go city traffic or long-distance highway touring. Honda says the intelligent electronic clutch assistance system enhances comfort while reducing rider fatigue on extended journeys.

Interestingly, the motorcycle still retains a conventional clutch lever and gear shifter, allowing riders to choose between traditional manual control and automated clutch operation whenever required. The system uses dual electronic actuators to manage clutch engagement seamlessly in real-time.

Powering the NX500 E-Clutch is Honda’s proven parallel-twin engine setup, known for delivering refined touring-focused performance with balanced power delivery. The motorcycle continues to feature upright ergonomics, premium fit-and-finish, and aggressive adventure styling, making it suitable for both urban commutes and highway exploration.

Despite the addition of advanced electronics, the E-Clutch system adds only around 3 kg to the motorcycle’s overall weight, bringing the total kerb weight to 199 kg. Honda claims the bike has been engineered to maintain practicality and handling while offering enhanced riding convenience.

The new Honda NX500 E-Clutch is available in two colour options, White and Black. Positioned as a premium technology-focused adventure tourer, it commands a premium of approximately ₹1.11 lakh over the standard NX500 variant.

With the launch of the NX500 E-Clutch, Honda is not just introducing another motorcycle in India; it is showcasing a new direction for rider-assist technology in the adventure touring segment. The model is expected to attract touring enthusiasts looking for a blend of advanced technology, comfort, and long-distance capability.
