India’s electric mobility ecosystem has received a major boost as Ultraviolette Automotive and Bolt.Earth announced the rapid expansion of their interoperable Type-6 DC fast-charging network, crossing 130 live chargers across seven Indian states. The companies also confirmed plans to deploy an additional 200 chargers over the next two months, accelerating EV infrastructure growth amid rising electric motorcycle demand in the country.

The strategic collaboration, first announced in March 2026, has already surpassed its initial target of 50 chargers by more than two times ahead of schedule. The fast-charging network is currently operational across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal, significantly improving charging accessibility for premium electric motorcycles.

The Type-6 DC fast chargers are fully compatible with Ultraviolette’s high-performance electric motorcycles, including the X-47 and F77. The network aims to deliver a seamless charging experience through real-time charger discovery, integrated digital payments, and charging session visibility across both Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth platforms.

According to Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, the rapid rollout comes at a critical time for India’s mobility sector, especially as the country focuses on energy resilience, reduced dependence on crude oil imports, and cleaner transportation solutions. He emphasized that reliable and interoperable charging infrastructure is essential to supporting the next phase of EV adoption in India.

Bolt.Earth Founder Mohit Yadav highlighted that the company is targeting the deployment of 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years, strengthening India’s public fast-charging ecosystem for electric two-wheelers.

The deployment includes both newly installed chargers and upgrades to existing Bolt.Earth infrastructure to support Ultraviolette motorcycles. The growing interoperable network is expected to enhance rider confidence, improve long-distance travel convenience, and encourage wider adoption of electric mobility solutions across India.

With India’s EV market witnessing rapid growth, the partnership between Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth marks another significant step toward building a standardized and future-ready charging backbone for the country’s electric mobility future.
