Yamaha has introduced the FZ Blue Flex E85 in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.24 lakh, making it the brand’s first flex-fuel motorcycle for the Indian market. The new model is designed to operate on ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85, supporting the country’s growing push towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility solutions.

ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex E85 is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that produces 11.5 bhp and 12.8 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox and is tuned to deliver smooth everyday performance. While the motorcycle can run on higher ethanol blends up to E85, riders may notice a slight reduction in fuel efficiency compared to regular E20 fuel.
DESIGN AND AVAILABILITY
Mechanically and visually, the FZ Blue Flex E85 remains similar to the standard FZ range. It continues to use the same chassis, telescopic front forks and rear monoshock suspension. The motorcycle is offered in a Metallic Black colour option and will be available through select Yamaha Blue Square dealerships across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. With this launch, Yamaha joins other manufacturers expanding India’s flex-fuel motorcycle lineup.
