Hero Vida has expanded its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the new VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh variant in India. Priced at ₹1.44 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest model builds on the existing VX2 Plus by introducing a larger battery pack that significantly improves the claimed riding range. While retaining the same performance and feature set, the new version focuses on delivering greater practicality for daily commuters and longer intercity rides.
NEW BATTERY, LONGER RANGE

The biggest upgrade comes in the form of dual removable 2.2 kWh battery packs, giving the scooter a combined battery capacity of 4.4 kWh. Hero claims an IDC-certified riding range of 187 km on a full charge, representing a notable improvement over the previous 3.4 kWh version. The removable battery setup also provides greater flexibility, allowing owners to charge the batteries either at home or at compatible charging stations.
PERFORMANCE REMAINS UNCHANGED

The VX2 Plus continues to use a 6 kW electric motor that produces 26 Nm of torque and delivers a claimed top speed of 90 km/h. Riders can choose between Eco, Ride and Sport modes depending on their requirements, while a Boost function offers quicker acceleration for overtaking and short bursts of performance during city riding.
FASTER CHARGING OPTIONS

Hero has bundled the scooter with a new 1 kW portable charger that significantly reduces charging time. Using the standard charger, the battery can be replenished from 0 to 80 percent in around 3 hours and 17 minutes, while a full charge takes just over five hours. For quicker top-ups, the scooter also supports DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 65 minutes.
FEATURES AND CONNECTIVITY

The feature list remains comprehensive, including a 4.3-inch TFT instrument display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and ride information. The scooter also benefits from Hero Vida’s growing fast-charging infrastructure, which now includes more than 6,000 charging points across India, making long-distance electric travel more convenient.
AVAILABILITY
The Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh will reach authorised dealerships across India by the end of July 2026. Alongside the launch, Hero Vida highlighted the scooter’s long-distance capability by announcing its successful 12,111 km cross-country ride, earning recognition in the Asia Book of Records. With a larger battery, improved charging convenience and competitive performance, the VX2 Plus strengthens Hero’s position in India’s fast-growing electric scooter segment.
