Bengaluru-based EV startup E3 Electric.AI has entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its first scooter, the Trion. Priced from ₹99,999 (introductory, ex-showroom Bengaluru), the new electric scooter is offered in three variants – C1, C1x and C2. The company is focusing on AI-powered technology, connected features and a modular platform to stand out in the increasingly competitive EV segment.

BATTERY, RANGE AND PERFORMANCE

The Trion C1 comes equipped with a removable 2.3kWh LFP battery, while the C1x and C2 use larger fixed 3kWh LFP battery packs. All variants feature a PMSM hub motor, although detailed power figures have not yet been disclosed. The C1x delivers a claimed IDC-certified range of 165km, while the flagship C2 offers a claimed top speed of 82kph and can sprint from 0-40kph in 6 seconds. Eco and Power riding modes are standard on the C1 and C1x, with the C2 adding a Sport mode.

AI FEATURES AND CONNECTIVITY

E3 describes the Trion as an AI-powered electric scooter with predictive diagnostics and cloud-based monitoring. It features a 5-inch LCD display supported by the TripSense connected platform, offering navigation, charger location planning, battery monitoring, geofencing, SOS assistance, remote controls and an integrated dashcam. The company also claims its AI HealthScan system can complete vehicle diagnostics in just 10 seconds.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The scooter is available in six colour options and can be customised with accessories such as a backrest, phone holder and helmet. Introductory prices start at ₹99,999 for the C1, ₹1.10 lakh for the C1x and ₹1.20 lakh for the C2 (all ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Pre-bookings have opened in Bengaluru, with the company planning to expand to more cities in the coming months. E3 is also offering an extended warranty of up to eight years or one lakh kilometres.
