Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has announced a historic milestone for the Hyundai CRETA, which has emerged as India’s highest-selling model in March 2025. The popular SUV recorded 18,059 unit sales, reinforcing its dominance in the Indian automobile market.
Hyundai CRETA’s Unmatched Sales Performance in FY 2024-25
The Hyundai CRETA continued its reign as India’s best-selling SUV in Q4 of FY 2024-2025 (Jan–Mar), achieving a cumulative 52,898 unit sales in the period. Further solidifying its market leadership, the CRETA became the third highest-selling passenger vehicle in India for FY 2024-25, with 1,94,871 units sold—a remarkable 20% year-on-year growth and the highest-ever annual sales for the model since its inception.
Top Features Driving Hyundai CRETA’s Success
- Premium Trims in Demand: The top trims contributed 24% to total CRETA ICE sales and 71% to CRETA Electric sales in FY 2024-25.
- Sunroof Variants Lead the Way: Models equipped with a sunroof remained the preferred choice, accounting for 69% of total sales.
Connected Features Drive Adoption: The growing demand for smart mobility saw connected features contribute 38% to total sales.
