Bajaj Auto has introduced an updated version of its flagship touring motorcycle, the Dominar 400, for 2026. This update brings a more practical and value focused approach, replacing the larger engine with a refined 349cc unit while retaining the bike’s strong touring DNA.

ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE UPDATES

The new Dominar is powered by a 349cc liquid cooled engine producing around 40 bhp. The focus is on delivering strong mid range torque, making it ideal for highway cruising and long distance rides.

Bold and aggressive front stance with sharp headlamp design.

This change ensures smoother performance in real world riding conditions rather than chasing higher top end numbers.

BETTER VALUE AND PRICING

One of the biggest highlights of this update is improved affordability. The 2026 Dominar 400 is priced at approximately ₹2.03 lakh (ex-showroom), making it significantly more budget friendly than before.

Sporty rear profile with sleek LED tail lamps and muscular styling.

Bajaj has also reduced the weight by around 3 kg, which improves handling and overall ride comfort.

DESIGN AND TOURING FEATURES REMAIN STRONG

Despite the engine change, the Dominar retains its muscular design and bold road presence.

Dynamic side profile showcasing a streetfighter design with green accents.

It continues to offer full LED lighting, a digital instrument console with touring information, and comfortable ergonomics designed for long rides, staying true to its touring focused identity.

A SMARTER STRATEGY FOR RIDERS

With this update, Bajaj shifts its focus from outright performance to everyday usability and value.

Strong road presence with a muscular tank and balanced proportions.

The new Dominar 400 now appeals to a wider audience, offering a balanced package of performance, comfort, and affordability, making it a practical choice for touring enthusiasts in India
