Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has launched the new Tata Nexon Pure+ PS at a starting price of ₹9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it India’s first car under ₹10 lakh to offer a panoramic sunroof. The launch marks another milestone for the Tata Nexon, which recently crossed the 1 million sales mark in India and continues to dominate the compact SUV segment.
With this move, Tata Motors aims to make premium features more accessible to Indian buyers while strengthening the Nexon’s value-for money proposition. The new Pure+ PS variant combines advanced technology, comfort, safety, and multiple powertrain options, making it one of the most feature rich SUVs in its category.
INDIA’S FIRST PANORAMIC SUNROOF UNDER ₹10 LAKH
The biggest highlight of the Tata Nexon Pure+ PS is its voice assisted panoramic sunroof, a feature generally reserved for more expensive SUVs. Tata Motors has now brought this aspirational feature to the sub-₹10 lakh segment for the first time in India.

Apart from the panoramic sunroof, the SUV also gets several premium features including a 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker audio setup, auto LED headlamps, cruise control, HD rear view camera with parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, and electrically foldable ORVMs.
These additions further enhance the overall cabin experience and strengthen the Nexon’s appeal among young urban SUV buyers.
MULTIPLE POWERTRAIN OPTIONS CONTINUE
Tata Motors continues its strong multi powertrain strategy with the Nexon Pure+ PS. Buyers can choose from petrol, diesel, and Twin Cylinder iCNG options, making the Nexon one of the few SUVs in India to cater to multiple fuel preferences.

The SUV is powered by the segment’s most powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 120 PS, available with both manual and AMT gearboxes. Tata is also offering India’s most fuel efficient diesel engine option in both MT and AMT variants.
The Twin Cylinder iCNG version is designed for customers seeking lower running costs without compromising practicality or performance.
NEXON CONTINUES TO LEAD THE SUV SEGMENT
Commenting on the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., stated that the Nexon remains India’s number one SUV and one of the country’s best selling cars due to its all round package of safety, technology, performance, and design.

The Tata Nexon has consistently set industry benchmarks since launch. It was India’s first car to receive a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating and later secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating as well.
With the addition of the Pure+ PS variant, Tata Motors is expected to further strengthen Nexon’s dominance in the highly competitive compact SUV market.
