BYD India has officially announced a price revision across its electric passenger vehicle lineup, effective from July 1, 2026. The company stated that the increase will range between 1-2 percent depending on the model and variant, with sustained foreign exchange fluctuations being the primary reason behind the revision.
The updated pricing will apply to BYD’s premium electric vehicle portfolio in India, including popular models such as the BYD ATTO 3 and the recently launched BYD SEALION 7. However, customers booking their vehicles during May and June 2026 will continue to benefit from the current prices, provided delivery is completed on or before July 31, 2026.
According to BYD India, bookings made from July 1 onwards will be subject to the revised pricing structure. The move comes at a time when several automotive brands are revising prices globally due to fluctuations in forex rates and increasing operational costs.
Commenting on the announcement, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, stated that despite challenging market conditions, the company remains committed to offering advanced, safe, and premium electric mobility solutions to Indian customers. He also highlighted the strong market response received by models like the BYD ATTO 3 and BYD SEALION 7, reflecting growing confidence in premium electric vehicles in India.
BYD continues to strengthen its presence in the Indian EV market through its advanced in-house technologies. The brand’s Blade Battery technology, Cell-to-Body integration, and 8-in-1 electric powertrain are among the key innovations helping improve charging efficiency, safety, driving range, cabin space, and overall driving experience.
Globally, BYD is also pushing forward with next-generation EV technologies, including its second-generation Blade Battery and advanced flash-charging systems designed to improve charging speeds and battery efficiency.
Currently, BYD India operates through 48 dealerships spread across 40 cities nationwide, offering integrated sales and service support. The company is also expanding its BYD Pioneers Club initiative, which focuses on engaging EV enthusiasts and customers through curated experiences, drive events, and community activities centered around sustainable mobility.
With demand for premium electric vehicles steadily increasing in India, BYD’s latest pricing announcement highlights the evolving dynamics of the rapidly growing EV market.
