Tesla has officially commenced deliveries of the all-new Tesla Model Y L in India, marking another major milestone in the country’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market. The newly launched three-row, six-seater electric SUV is priced from ₹61.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is designed to cater to families seeking premium space, performance, and advanced technology.
The first batch of Model Y L vehicles has already been delivered to customers through Tesla’s direct-to-consumer sales model. This approach enables seamless purchasing, delivery, and ownership experiences while maintaining direct customer engagement across India.
One of the biggest highlights of the Tesla Model Y L is its impressive driving range of up to 681 km (WLTP), making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs available in the Indian market. The vehicle also delivers strong performance, accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 5.0 seconds. With cargo capacity expandable up to 2,539 litres, the Model Y L offers exceptional practicality for families and long-distance travel.
Tesla has also introduced attractive financing options for Indian buyers. The Model Y L can be purchased with monthly payments starting from ₹49,990, requiring a down payment as low as ₹6.5 lakh, making premium EV ownership more accessible.
Alongside the Model Y L, Tesla recently launched the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive variant in India. Priced at ₹50.89 lakh, this five-seater model offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 500 km, accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds, and provides up to 2,138 litres of storage space. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Both Model Y variants have earned top safety ratings from globally recognized organizations, including NHTSA, IIHS, Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and C-IASI. Tesla also highlighted its growing service network in India, with existing facilities in Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, and Pune, while expansion plans are underway for Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.
The launch further strengthens Tesla’s presence in India and underscores the company’s commitment to accelerating electric mobility through innovation, safety, and customer-focused ownership experiences.
