OPPO has unveiled the design philosophy behind its upcoming Reno16 Series, introducing a fresh visual identity that blends futuristic aesthetics with AI-powered functionality. Headlining the new smartphones are India’s first HoloVerse 3D Design and the debut of the AI Snap Key on the Reno lineup, alongside a host of premium display, durability and usability enhancements. The Reno16 Series continues OPPO’s focus on combining eye-catching design with practical innovation for everyday users.

Inspired by the beauty of the cosmos, the Reno16 Series introduces a new 3D Pop Planet Design that creates the illusion of a floating celestial object beneath the phone’s surface. The effect is achieved through OPPO’s proprietary HoloVerse 3D Technology, which uses a sophisticated dual-layer optical structure featuring millions of precision microlenses. As light reflects across the rear panel, the design shifts dynamically, creating a striking three-dimensional appearance without requiring special glasses.

INDIA’S FIRST HOLOVERSE 3D DESIGN TAKES CENTRE STAGE

Available exclusively in the Starry White colour option, the HoloVerse 3D Design delivers a unique visual experience that changes depending on the viewing angle. Complementing this is OPPO’s Floating 3D Glitter finish and the Dynamic Stellar Ring surrounding the camera module, adding depth and sophistication to the smartphone’s premium design language. The Reno16 Series will also be available in Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple, giving users multiple stylish finishes to choose from.

AI SNAP KEY BRINGS SMARTER SHORTCUTS

Making its first appearance on the Reno Series, the AI Snap Key is designed to improve productivity and convenience through dedicated AI-powered shortcuts. A single press instantly saves on-screen content to Mind Space, while a long press records voice notes and a double press opens Mind Space for quick access. Users can also customise the button to launch frequently used functions such as the camera, flashlight, translator or voice recorder.

Working alongside AI Mind Pilot, the feature integrates tools such as Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT, enabling users to search information, compare responses, organise content and retrieve saved notes more efficiently from a single interface.

IMMERSIVE DISPLAY WITH SLIM DESIGN

The Reno16 features a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED display with ultra-thin 1.6mm bezels, Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The Reno16c offers a slightly larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and the same smooth refresh rate, reaching up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness. Both devices are designed to deliver vibrant visuals while remaining comfortable for extended viewing.

Despite housing advanced camera hardware and premium displays, the Reno16 maintains a slim 8.22mm profile and weighs just 182g, while the Reno16c measures 8.44mm thick and weighs approximately 195g, ensuring a comfortable in-hand feel throughout the day.

BUILT FOR EVERYDAY DURABILITY

OPPO has also focused on making the Reno16 Series more durable for daily use. The smartphones feature an aerospace-grade aluminium frame that offers significantly higher structural strength and improved drop resistance compared to conventional plastic frames. In addition, the devices carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, providing protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure water jets.

Features such as Splash Touch and Glove Touch ensure that the displays remain responsive even when used with wet hands or while wearing gloves, making the devices more practical across different environments.
