Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the all-new CLA 45 4MATIC+, bringing back one of its most popular performance models in an all-electric avatar. Replacing the turbo-petrol engine of the previous generation, the latest CLA 45 now features a powerful triple-motor electric drivetrain, impressive acceleration and a host of performance-focused technologies. Available in both Sedan and Shooting Brake body styles, the new model combines AMG’s sporting character with the benefits of electric mobility.

POWERFUL ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE

The new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 is powered by a 94 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack paired with three electric motors. Together, they produce an impressive 680 hp and 1,759 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful compact performance EVs on the market. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, while the Shooting Brake completes the sprint in 3.2 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, with an optional AMG Dynamic Plus Package increasing it to 270 km/h.

ADVANCED AWD SYSTEM

Mercedes-AMG has equipped the CLA 45 with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that can automatically disconnect the front motor during steady cruising to improve efficiency. The two rear motors operate independently, enabling advanced torque vectoring and a dedicated Drift Mode for spirited driving. Drivers can also choose from seven drive modes to suit different road conditions and driving styles.

LONG RANGE AND FAST CHARGING

Despite its high-performance credentials, the CLA 45 also delivers impressive efficiency. The sedan offers a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 670 km, while the Shooting Brake can travel up to 640 km on a full charge. Supporting 330 kW DC fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes. A quick 10-minute charging session can add up to 270 km of driving range under ideal conditions.

SPORTIER DESIGN INSIDE AND OUT

The exterior receives a more aggressive AMG treatment with a redesigned grille, larger air intakes, wider wheel arches, sporty side skirts and a pronounced rear diffuser. Standard 19-inch alloy wheels are offered, while 20-inch wheels are available as an option. The sedan also features an active rear spoiler, whereas the Shooting Brake receives a roof-mounted spoiler for improved aerodynamics.

TECH-FOCUSED CABIN

Inside, the cabin is equipped with AMG bucket seats, a sporty steering wheel and Mercedes-Benz’s signature Hyperscreen setup that combines multiple digital displays into one seamless panel. Unique AMG graphics include a virtual tachometer and gear indicator, while the new AMGFORCE S+ mode simulates engine sounds, gear shifts and seat vibrations to recreate the feel of a traditional AMG performance car.
