Citroen India has launched the new Basalt X Comfort Edition as part of its 108th anniversary celebrations. Priced from ₹8.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the special edition costs ₹20,000 more than the standard base variant and aims to make premium comfort and convenience features available on lower trims of the coupe-SUV.

NEW COMFORT AXS PACK

The highlight of the Comfort Edition is the new Comfort AXS Pack, which adds features such as a JBL sound system, reverse parking camera, dual dashcam with safety alerts, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger and Metropolitan Beige leatherette upholstery on selected variants. These features were previously available only on higher trims or as optional accessories.

ENGINE OPTIONS

The entry-level ‘You’ variant continues with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 hp and 115 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Higher ‘Plus’ variants are offered with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 110 hp and up to 205 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

With the new Comfort Edition, Citroen aims to offer more premium features at an accessible price point, making the Basalt a more attractive option for value-conscious buyers.
