Bovensiepen has unveiled the new Spider, a limited-production two-seat roadster featuring a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, 435 PS, 580 Nm and a starting price of €115,500 (approximately ₹1.21 crore).

Bovensiepen Automobile has introduced its new Bovensiepen Spider, a two-seat roadster developed around the concept of lightweight construction, driver engagement and traditional sports-car proportions. Revealed on September 10, 2026, the Spider becomes the brand’s third model and will be produced in a strictly limited run of just 99 hand-built examples worldwide.

The new roadster combines a long bonnet, rear-set cockpit and short overhangs with modern powertrain technology, contemporary crash safety and extensive craftsmanship. Bovensiepen says the model continues its ‘Fine Driving’ philosophy while deliberately retaining the lightweight two-seat roadster format.

Bovensiepen Spider: Classic Roadster Design With a Modern Interpretation

The Spider’s exterior was developed in collaboration with automotive designer Frank Stephenson, who also worked with Bovensiepen on the 05 GT. The design features the brand’s characteristic black front splitter and wraparound black design line.

The front end incorporates a high-gloss black splitter with twin tips, while large wheel-arch vents, side skirts and a rear diffuser add to the car’s sporting character. A large integrated rear spoiler extends the rear section and contributes to the roadster’s elongated silhouette.

The Spider rides on 20-inch Bovensiepen forged wheels featuring ten long double spokes. According to the manufacturer, the lightweight wheel design contributes to agility and driving comfort.

3.0-Litre Turbocharged Inline-Six Produces 435 PS

Power comes from a 3.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine. The unit produces 320 kW (435 PS)and 580 Nm of maximum torque. Bovensiepen has focused on the engine’s power-to-weight ratio, quoted at 3.6 kg per PS, alongside smooth and refined power delivery.

The intake system has been modified with an unrestricted intake-air duct and an additional ram-air channel. The intake silencer has also been enlarged and optimised for airflow. Meanwhile, the Bovensiepen sports exhaust system has been developed to improve airflow and reduce exhaust back pressure while delivering a sportier exhaust note.

The Spider accelerates from 0–100 kmph in 4.2 seconds and has a standard top speed of 260 kmph. With the optional Performance Package, the top speed increases to 295 kmph.

Performance Package Adds Chassis and Cooling Upgrades

The optional Performance Package introduces several hardware upgrades aimed at maintaining performance under demanding driving conditions. It includes a milled-aluminium rear differential cover with larger cooling fins, designed to reduce thermal loads on the rear differential during sustained high-speed driving.

The package also adds an optimised underbody reinforcement with a V-brace. According to Bovensiepen, the additional structural rigidity contributes to a more precise chassis response.

Power is transferred through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. In Sport mode, gear changes take place in approximately one-tenth of a second, while steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters allow manual gear selection. Automatic mode is designed for smoother, more relaxed driving.

Lightweight Focus Extends to the Chassis and Brakes

The Spider uses a tuned suspension setup featuring newly calibrated dampers, with increased compression-stage settings at low damper speeds. Longer auxiliary springs on the rear axle are designed to improve the connection between the body and chassis.

The roadster is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres, measuring 255/35 ZR20 at the front and 295/30 ZR20 at the rear. An optional high-performance braking system features four-piston fixed calipers at the front, along with perforated brake discs measuring 395 mm at the front and 345 mm at the rear.

Bovensiepen quotes a DIN kerb weight of 1,585 kg, with an unladen weight of 1,660 kg. The combination of the powertrain, low weight, direct steering and tuned chassis is intended to deliver a responsive driving experience.

Open-Top Experience With Everyday Usability

As a two-seat roadster, the Spider is designed to emphasise the sensations associated with open-top driving. Its four-tailpipe exhaust system provides a sporty soundtrack, while the open roof brings the engine and exhaust character closer to the occupants.

Despite its sports-car focus, the Spider offers 281 litres of boot space, allowing it to accommodate luggage for longer journeys.

Inside, the roadster comes with Vernasca leather upholstery and Alcantara seat panels in the standard specification. A Lavalina leather steering wheel, heated steering wheel, comfort access and Harman Kardon Surround Sound System are also included.

Customers can specify a full-leather interior from Bovensiepen’s in-house saddlery. Additional personalisation options include leather dashboard trim, Alcantara on selected interior elements, customised headrest embossing, embroidered motifs and Alcantara-lined footwells or luggage compartments.

Only 99 Bovensiepen Spiders Will Be Built

Exclusivity is central to the Spider’s positioning. Bovensiepen will manufacture only 99 examples worldwide, with each car receiving a numbered production plaque.

The initial colour selection comprises five metallic finishes: Sapphire Black (40 units), Sanremo Green (25), Skyscraper Grey (20), Thundernight (9) and Frozen Grey II (5). Customers can also request an individual paint colour at the Bovensiepen manufactory.

Bovensiepen Spider Price and Deliveries

Orders for the new Bovensiepen Spider are open immediately. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of Q1 2027.

The recommended retail price is €115,500 (approximately ₹1.21 crore), including 19% German sales tax, ex-factory Buchloe. The manufacturer lists preliminary combined WLTP fuel consumption at 8.8 l/100 km, with CO₂ emissions of 199 g/km and a German CO₂ class rating of G.

With its 435 PS inline-six, two-seat configuration, bespoke craftsmanship and production capped at 99 cars, the Bovensiepen Spider is positioned as a highly exclusive modern interpretation of the traditional lightweight roadster.
