Louis Erard and independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin have brought back their distinctive Unfrogettabletimepiece with two new colourways: Turquoise and Brown. Combining unconventional design with traditional watchmaking craftsmanship, the latest editions continue the playful frog-inspired identity of the collaboration.

Both versions are strictly limited to 178 pieces each, making the new Unfrogettable editions particularly relevant to collectors of independent and limited-production watches.

A Signature Frog-Inspired Display

The defining feature of the Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable is its distinctive interpretation of a regulator-style display. The traditional regulator arrangement has been turned horizontally to create the appearance of a frog’s face.

The hours are displayed at 9 o’clock, while the seconds appear at 3 o’clock. An arrow-shaped central hand indicates the minutes, completing the unusual facial expression.

At 6 o’clock, the dial carries the names Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin, serving as a subtle signature of the collaboration.

Grade 5 Titanium Case

The Unfrogettable measures 40 mm and features a case crafted from Grade 5 titanium. The construction combines satin-finished surfaces with polished curves, creating contrast across the case while keeping the watch lightweight.

Adding to its playful character, the winding crown positioned at 12 o’clock is designed to resemble a small crown. The Turquoise edition receives a polished titanium crown, while the Brown version features a warm gold-toned PVD finish.

Japanese Craftsmanship on the Wrist

Both watches are fitted with Himeji Kurozan “black diamond leather” straps. The leather is naturally tanned, hand-rubbed and finished with traditional Urushi lacquer, a Japanese technique associated with highly crafted decorative work.

The strap design also draws inspiration from the craftsmanship of samurai armour, adding a distinctive cultural and artisanal element to the timepiece.

With its unconventional frog-inspired display, titanium construction, Japanese-finished leather strap and extremely limited production, the new Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable continues the collaboration’s approach of combining mechanical watchmaking with expressive design.
