River Mobility has partnered with Flipkart to expand the digital reach of its Indie electric scooter, bringing the model to an omni-channel retail ecosystem. The partnership kicks off with Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale and combines River’s existing physical retail network with the e-commerce platform.

Under the partnership, customers can discover the River Indie, access product information and book the electric scooter through River’s brand store on Flipkart. The company says the Indie will also automatically launch on Flipkart as River expands into new markets and stores.

River Indie: Key Highlights

The River Indie is positioned around practicality and utility, with a combination of performance, storage and everyday usability. Its key specifications include:

  • 4 kWh battery pack
  • Claimed IDC range of 163 km
  • Top speed of 90 kmph
  • 55-litre total storage capacity
  • 177 mm ground clearance
  • Updated 6-inch display
  • Hill-hold control
  • Enhanced smartphone app integration

The updated scooter also features a redesigned, lighter chassis. Its smartphone connectivity adds features such as real-time charging status and ride statistics, further improving the ownership experience.

River’s Expanding Retail Network

The Flipkart partnership is another step in River Mobility’s efforts to make the Indie accessible through both digital and physical channels. The company is currently present across 48 cities with 72 stores, while the press release notes that the Indie is available across more than 80 cities and will expand alongside River’s footprint.

Commenting on the partnership, River Mobility Co-founder and CEO Aravind Mani said the Flipkart collaboration will bring the Indie closer to online customers while being supported by the company’s existing service network.

With online discovery and booking now added to its retail strategy, River is looking to make the Indie more accessible to India’s growing electric two-wheeler audience.
