Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 650 Hypershift, a limited-edition motorcycle celebrating the brand’s 125th anniversary. Priced at ₹4.26 lakh (ex-showroom), the special edition combines the Classic 650’s familiar retro styling with distinctive colour-shifting paintwork and exclusive anniversary detailing.

Production is restricted to 125 units per key global region, including India, making the Hypershift a special offering for Royal Enfield enthusiasts and collectors. Registrations opened on 16 October 2026 at 2 pm and will remain open until the sale date on 28 October. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Colour-Shifting Paintwork Takes Centre Stage
The defining feature of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift is its bespoke paint finish, which shifts between shades of red, green and gold depending on the lighting and viewing angle. The finish uses a brass-inspired base that pays tribute to the company’s earliest motorcycles from 1901.

The motorcycle retains the Classic 650’s signature teardrop-shaped fuel tank, rounded bodywork and nacelle-mounted headlamp. Exclusive details include a gilded 125-year anniversary crest, special side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes. These additions distinguish the Hypershift from the standard production model without altering its familiar silhouette.
Engine and Performance Remain Unchanged
Underneath the special paintwork, the Classic 650 Hypershift remains mechanically identical to the standard motorcycle. It uses Royal Enfield’s 647.95cc, air-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing approximately 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch. The established powertrain preserves the Classic 650’s existing performance characteristics, with the anniversary edition focusing primarily on visual exclusivity rather than mechanical upgrades.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift Price
The Classic 650 Hypershift is priced at ₹4.26 lakh ex-showroom. This represents a premium of approximately ₹58,000 over the standard Classic 650’s entry-level Vallam Red variant, priced at ₹3.68 lakh, and ₹43,500 over the Black Chrome variant, priced at ₹3.82 lakh.

With its limited production, distinctive colour-shifting finish and commemorative detailing, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Hypershift adds a collector-focused option to the brand’s 650cc motorcycle range. Its appeal lies in combining familiar mechanicals with a finish designed to stand apart.
