BMW Group India has announced the inauguration of India’s largest BMW service workshop, established by Navnit Motors in Mumbai. The new facility follows BMW’s Retail.NEXT standards, bringing together advanced automotive service infrastructure, digital technologies, electric vehicle expertise and sustainability-focused operations.

Located in Andheri East, the workshop aims to enhance the aftersales experience for BMW customers through increased service capacity, streamlined processes and personalised customer care.
A Large-Scale Facility Built for Efficiency
Spread across approximately 1,15,000 sq. ft., the workshop features 53 service bays designed to accommodate different aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key highlights include:
- 6 service consultation bays
- 3 diagnostic bays
- 21 mechanical and electrical bays
- 23 body and paint bays
- Advanced diagnostic systems and latest-generation equipment
- Dedicated infrastructure for electric vehicles and high-voltage servicing
BMW-certified technicians and high-voltage specialists will support the facility’s operations. Customers can also access dedicated service consultation areas, a customer lounge and a separate chauffeur lounge. A dedicated BMW M Zone showcases M Performance Parts and Accessories, alongside BMW’s Accessories and Lifestyle Collection.
Digital Services Enhance Customer Convenience
The workshop incorporates digital solutions designed to make vehicle servicing more transparent and convenient. Through the MyBMW App, customers can schedule, modify and manage service appointments at authorised dealership workshops.
BMW’s Personalised Service Video explains recommended repairs, allowing customers to review, approve and pay for services online. End-to-end digital vehicle tracking also provides real-time visibility of a vehicle’s journey through the workshop, from arrival to collection.
These features form part of BMW’s ‘Relax. We Care.’ aftersales philosophy, which focuses on simplifying vehicle ownership and improving the customer experience throughout the ownership journey.
Sustainability at the Core
Sustainability is another key component of the facility’s design. Solar power meets 20% of the workshop’s electricity requirements, while 100% of the water used for car washing is recycled.
The facility also incorporates rainwater harvesting, water recycling systems and energy-efficient infrastructure. BMW states that the workshop follows a zero-waste approach for solid and toxic waste.
Strengthening BMW’s Aftersales Network
The inauguration also marks a milestone in Navnit Motors’ 30-year partnership with BMW Group. The Mumbai facility adds to BMW India’s network of 56 service workshops across metropolitan areas and Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.

With its combination of scale, digital innovation and dedicated EV servicing infrastructure, the new workshop reflects the growing importance of premium aftersales services in India’s evolving automotive market.
